It’s a beautiful morning (ahhh), think I’ll go to the farmers market

Part of this morning's crop share +

Just thought I’d share in the joys of the day: Driving in an air-conditioned car across the Arkansas River to the Argenta Farmers Market to pick up  my veggie cropshare from Scott Heritage Farm (thanks, Barbara!), heavenly peaches from the Russian farmer, a bag of pecans for an incredible $1 (!!) and other assorted goodies, including two kinds of figs. Oh my. The icing on the fresh food cake is evening tuberoses from Wye Mountain flowers.

And on the way home, guess what came on the radio? (I love Sirius.) The Young Rascals were the perfect touch.

Later this afternoon we’ll hole up in the dark at Market Street in the Cave of Forgotten Dreams.

Saturdays don’t get much better.

Fresh produce, fresh flowers. Ahhh.
